Oremus – Let Us Pray – coming soon in April 2016

The Oremus study program teaches you the essentials of an effective and fruitful prayer life. Over the course of eight weeks you will discover how God speaks to you, even in the smallest encounters. Following the Tradition of the Catholic Church and the wisdom of the saints, you will learn how to express yourself to God in prayer, and how to hear his voice.

A Biblical Walk Through the Mass
by Edward Sri
This five-part study provides a unique tour of the timeless Liturgy through the use of DVD lectures by Dr. Edward Sri, home study materials, and group discussion. It explores the biblical roots of the words and gestures we experience in Mass and explains their profound significance.   • Matthew – The King and His Kingdom

    This study presents the Gospel account in a way that brings the history of Christ to life.  Matthew: The King and His Kingdomshows how Jesus builds on the foundation laid in the Old Testament to inaugurate the kingdom of heaven on earth.  In it you will see Jesus as the son of David, the son of Abraham, the new Moses, the true manna, the new Temple, You will learn how Jesus reconstituted the struggling kingdom of Israel around himself and brought it to a new level in the Kingdom of God, open to all people, and what this means for us today.  This study is an ideal follow-up study to the basic narrative of Scripture taught in the The Bible Timeline course.  (24 sessions, 2 hours each)
  • Acts – The Spread of the Kingdom

    The Acts of the Apostles study provides an historic framework for understanding the rest of the New Testament. Paul’s letters in particular come alive in a new way when they are read within the context of the Acts narrative.  You will: see how the Gospel witness spread outward in waves, from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria and finally to the ends of the Earth; share with the early Christians the joys and struggles of living the life of Christ, and learn how these apply to us today; see how the Holy Spirit guided the apostles in the Truth; observe the way the Spirit-filled Church adapted to new cultures when proclaiming the Gospel…and much more!  (20 sessions, 2 hours each)
  • Revelation – The Kingdom Yet to Come

    Explores the book of Revelation to demonstrate how the Kingdom established by Christ in His Church is intimately connected with the Kingdom of Heaven, especially through the celebration of the Mass. You will also learn what all the mysterious figures and images of Revelation represent, as well as what will happen during the Second Coming of Christ, what has already happened, and what is happening now in salvation history. Walking Toward Eternity

This inspiring study will challenge you to put your faith into practice as you learn how to walk in love, forgiveness, humility, and other Christian virtues. By prayerfully reading Scripture and reflecting upon it you will learn how to make real changes in your life, changes that will help you to be more like the person God created you to be.  (8-Part DVD Study)

 

Why Catholic
This program offers a concrete approach to help adults deepen their Catholic faith and connect its teachings to their everyday lives. Catholic teaching is explored using the Catechism of the Catholic Church, scriptural references, and reflection questions that covering four themes:  Catholic beliefs, sacraments, morality, and prayer.  This is a four year program, one year for each of the four themes.  (4 years, 48 sessions)
